At last Hawke's Bay is getting a late summer. The days have been deliciously sunny, still and warm. In fact we're watering the grounds for the first time this summer.

 

All augurs well for vintage. It looks like our first pick will be the estate Gewurztraminer. The winery is gearing up for 24/7 operations likely to swing into action in full by the end of March.
